Kodō FAQ
Last updated: August 5, 2026
Quick answers about accounts, trips, friends, events, privacy, and support.
Getting started
What is Kodō?
Kodō helps you plan trips with friends, see where friends are going, message them, and discover events in cities you’re visiting.
How do I create an account?
Download Kodō from the App Store, tap Sign Up, and enter your email, name, phone, and password. You’ll agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy during sign-up.
I forgot my password
On the sign-in screen, tap Forgot password? and enter your email. We’ll send a 6-digit code so you can set a new password.
Friends & trips
How do I find friends?
You can search for friends in the app or allow Contacts access so Kodō can match people who already have accounts. Contacts matching is optional.
Are my trips private?
You can set trips as public to friends or private. Private trips are only visible to you (and people you explicitly share with, depending on the feature). Public friend trips help friends see where you’ll be.
How do trip share links work?
Shared trip links look like https://kodo.onl/t/<tripId>. Profile links look like https://kodo.onl/u/<userId>. Opening either on a device with Kodō installed opens the app.
Can I join a friend’s trip?
Yes — open the trip and request to join / party up when that option is available. The trip owner manages attendees.
Events
Where do events come from?
Event listings can come from Ticketmaster Discovery and from events friends attach to their trips. City views show events friends are attending, not every show in the city.
Does Buy Tickets charge me in Kodō?
No. Buy Tickets opens the ticket provider’s site or app. Purchases are handled by that provider under their terms.
Privacy & account
What data does Kodō collect?
Account details, optional profile info, content you create, optional contacts for friend matching, and push tokens for notifications. See the full Privacy Policy.
Does Kodō track my GPS location?
No. Kodō does not collect precise GPS location. Hometown is an optional city name you enter.
How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Profile → Delete Account. This removes your account and associated personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. You can also request deletion by emailing support@kodo.dev — see Privacy Choices.
How do I manage permissions?
Open iOS Settings → Kodō to manage Contacts, Photos, and Notifications.
Notifications
What notifications will I get?
Depending on your settings: messages, friend requests, trip activity, and related updates. You can turn off notifications in iOS Settings at any time.
