Kodō Terms of Service
Last updated: August 5, 2026
1. Agreement
By creating a Kodō account or using the Kodō app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Kodō.
2. What Kodō provides
Kodō helps you plan trips, see where friends are traveling, message friends, and discover events. Features may change as we improve the product. Event listings and third-party information are provided for convenience and may be incomplete or change without notice.
3. Your account
- You must provide accurate account information and keep it updated.
- You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
- You must be old enough to use the app under applicable law (and at least 13).
- One person should use one account; do not share your account.
4. Acceptable use
- Do not harass, threaten, spam, or impersonate others.
- Do not post illegal, harmful, deceptive, or infringing content.
- Do not attempt to access other users’ accounts, data, or systems without authorization.
- Do not reverse engineer, scrape, or abuse Kodō APIs or infrastructure.
- Do not use Kodō to facilitate unlawful activity.
5. Trips, messages, and content
You retain ownership of content you create. You grant Kodō a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, reproduce, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service. You are responsible for the accuracy of trip details and other content you publish, and for having rights to any photos or materials you upload.
Public trips and profile information may be visible to your friends (and, where applicable, other users) according to the privacy settings you choose in the app.
6. Third-party services
Kodō uses services such as Supabase, Apple Push Notifications, Google Places, and Ticketmaster for core features. Their terms and privacy policies also apply when those services process related requests. Ticket purchases and venue policies are between you and the ticket provider or venue.
7. Disclaimers
Kodō is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect event listings, or that travel plans between friends will always match.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kodō and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.
9. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete Account in the app. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or that create risk for other users or the service. Provisions that by their nature should survive (including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
